Are Medium and Blogger hard to get indexed by Google?

In my experience, Blogger and Medium themselves aren't hard to index, but new accounts and low-authority content can take time. Two months isn't unusual, especially in technical niches, so I'd focus on consistency, internal linking, and giving Google more time rather than worrying about platform limitations.

This occurs more frequent than expected, particularly when it concern launching a new website along with a new account. It appears as though it takes Google much longer to index the new content, as I noticed that a new website took up to 2-6 months to begin its indexing process.

All the problems listed above are not concerned with Blogger and Medium platforms. Everything revolves around trust, crawl demand, and backlinks. What I would do in such a case is to get a few backlinks.

Two months isn't that long these days especially for a brand new project. From what I've seen Google has become much more selective about what it indexes. It's not unusual to see pages crawled but not indexed if the site has little authority or the content covers topics that already have a lot of similar information online.

I wouldn't assume it's a Blogger or Medium issue. I'd focus on making sure the articles are genuinely unique and getting a few backlinks or mentions from relevant sites. Also keep in mind that searches aren't always an accurate reflection of everything Google has indexed. Some sites take several months before indexing and visibility start to improve consistently.
 
bro this is a classic "trust gap" issue that almost everyone faces when starting on third-party platforms. while it feels like you are being penalized or sandboxed, the reality is much simpler: google is incredibly selective about what it adds to its index, and for new accounts on large platforms like Medium or Blogger, you have zero "crawl budget" authority to start with.
 
From what I’ve noticed Medium and Blogger pages can get indexed fairly quickly when the content is unique and regularly updated The bigger challenge often seems to be getting consistent visibility in search results rather than indexing itself
 
From what I've seen Blogger and Medium themselves aren't the issue New content in technical niches can take time to gain trust and indexing momentum so two months isn't unusual I'd keep publishing consistently and focus on quality rather than worrying too much about a "sandbox" effect

Medium is harder to index. With blogger you can submit your website to Google's search console and it will get indexed fast.
 
i dont think they're any harder to index. Google just takes time to build authority for new accounts since it doesnt want to serve low effort content to its users
 
Blogger and Medium usually index fine so it’s more likely a content or internal linking issue than a platform problem.
