Is there any way to check if a channel or video is monetized?

Only the channel owner can see monetization status directly. Viewers can only make educated guesses based on ads, memberships, Super Thanks, or other monetization features.

There is no public tool that reliably tells you whether a YouTube channel is monetized. You can sometimes see ads on videos, but that does not always mean the channel itself is earning revenue from them.

The old `is_monetization_enabled` view-source trick is completely dead since YouTube scrubbed those strings out of the source code. Now, the absolute safest insider way to check is to look for a **"Join"** button (channel memberships) or to check if individual videos have a **"Super Thanks"** heart icon enabled. If either of those are active, the channel is 100% in the YouTube Partner Program.

Is there any way to check if a channel (that is not mine) or video is monetized?
In the past, there was a code segment called f12 is_monetization_enabled that allowed you to see whether a channel had monetization enabled. Nowadays, the only way is to turn on the channel's video and see if ads are displayed. If ads appear frequently, that channel is monetized.

if you see ads before or during videos, that is the strong sign the video or channel is monetized.

I think youtube have ads in all videos regardless if the channel is monetized or not

There is no completely reliable public method Sometimes ads appearing on videos can be a clue but YouTube may show ads on non monetized channels as well Unless the owner shares information or you have access to the account you can only make educated guesses rather than know for sure

Just open a random video from that channel to see if ads pop up. If you see a 5-second unskippable ad or banner ads around it right away, there is a 99% chance the channel is monetized. Of course, youtube now places ads on non-monetized channels too, but for an outsider like us, checking that directly is the fastest way to avoid a headache. No need to use complicated tools.

Those monetization checkers are not legit. Atleast ytlarge it was tested with a friend of mine whose monetized and it was saying he wasnt
ytlarge is not accurate. I havent seen any of these, plugins or sites to be.

As far as i know there is no reliable public way to tell whether a channel or video is monetized Ads can sometimes give you a clue but they are not a definite sign since youtube may show ads on videos regardless of the creators monetization status in most cases only the channel owner has access to the actual monetization details through their dashboard

it's not that hard to know. Just check the video and if it has ads running, it is monetized, there this song with like a billion views that is not monetized and it usually has no ads, so that is the easiest way to tell
