Hello everyone,

I recently started running PPC campaigns and have already spent some money testing different things. It is a good learning experience, but I also realized how easy it is to burn budget on things that do not really work.
I am still trying to understand what actually makes campaigns profitable without overspending too much in the beginning.
For people with more experience, what is the one thing that helped you improve results and avoid wasting money on PPC?

a lot of advertisers improve results by getting very specific with targeting instead of going broad. smaller, more focused audiences often waste les budget in the beginning.

honestly just focus on negative keywords first, that alone saved me tons of wasted budget in the beginning.

honestly, a lot of wasted PPC money comes from bad landing pages, not bad ads. sometimes small page improvements help more than changing campaigns on Google.

biggest thing that helped me early on was switching from broad match to exact and phrase match only. broad match looks cheap per click but youll see in the search terms report that half your budget goes to completely unrelated queries. ive had campaigns where 60% of spend was on searches that had nothing to do with the offer

lock down your match types first, then expand once you know what actually converts

focus daily on adding negative keywords heavily from search terms report so you dont pay for useless clicks that dont buy anything.

Start with a small budget and focus on highly targeted keywords rather than broad terms. Use negative keywords, track conversions closely, and keep testing your landing pages. In my experience, the biggest waste in PPC comes from poor targeting and manual optimization that isn't backed by data.

I learned to pay more attention to landing pages, not just ads. Even good traffic can be unprofitable if the page doesn't convert visitors into leads or customers.

Start small, test only few ads/keywords at a time and focus on what actually converts instead of chasing too many ideas at once.

I think Focusing on the landing page is game changer. Better ads help, but if the page does not convert, the ad spend gets wasted.

Start with small budget, test only a few targeted keywords and track conversions properly, because focusing on what actually converts is what saves most money in PPC.

The landing page plays a very important role. You need to ensure that your ad is attractive enough.

I think a lot of beginners focus too much on clicks and forget conversion tarcking on google, knowing what actually converts saves way more money than chasing cheap traffic.

A big improvement comes from tracking conversions properly without that, it is basically guessing which ads are profitable.

landing page improvement is also huge. even good ads do not perform if the page doesn’t clearly match user intent or build trust.

Start with very small budget, focus only on high intent keywords, track every conversion, and keep removing what is not working instead of scaling too fast.

Good landing page matters a lot, even perfect ads won’t work if the page doesn’t convert.

My biggest improvement came from fixing landing page, not ads. Good traffic means nothing if page does not convert.

Start with small budget testing, focus on tight targeting and high intent keywords, keep tracking conversions properly, and kill underperforming ads quickly while scaling only what already shows profit.

In my experience, tracking everything properly made a huge difference. Once I understood which keyword or ad actually brings conversions, I stopped guessing.
