I'm working on an eCommerce website in the geomembrane/HDPE liner industry. Most of our products do not have fixed prices because the final quote depends on thickness, quantity, project size, shipping location, and installation requirements.
For example, products like:
* HDPE Geomembrane 0.5mm
* HDPE Geomembrane 1.0mm
* HDPE Geomembrane 1.5mm
are listed as WooCommerce products, but customers must request a quote instead of purchasing directly.
Currently:
* Product pages have no visible price.
* WooCommerce still outputs an empty price wrapper in the HTML.
* Schema Pro generates Product schema.
My questions are:
1. From an SEO perspective, is it completely acceptable to have Product pages without a price?
2. Does Google treat "Request a Quote" product pages differently from standard eCommerce product pages?
3. Should I keep Product schema without an Offer/Price section, or is there a better schema setup for B2B products?
I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with industrial, construction, or B2B manufacturing websites where pricing is not publicly displayed.
Thanks advice!
