Does anyone else feel like posting at the “right time” matters way less on X now?

Used to see a lot of advice around posting times, peak hours, schedules, etc. But lately it feels like some posts take off instantly, others randomly 12–24 hours later, and timing matters much less than before.
Are people still paying attention to posting time or just posting when it feels right?

I think timing does play a role as well but not as much as it used to. If it’s a good post, it can be picked up hours later if people start to engage with it. So I’d focus more on the quality of the content and how well it generates interaction rather than when you post.

posting time is still important in my opinion, but X is looking at other things too, like how much engagement and dwell time your posts create. A combination of good quality, plus timing will still get you views

In my opinion posting in the right time is a formula for success. You need your audience to see your content therefore you should maximise it's reach by posting when most of the people in your country are off work and checking their social media and X.

Timing definitely matters less than it used to. The X algorithm now prioritizes engagement velocity over recency so a post that gets quick replies and reposts will outperform a perfectly timed post with no initial engagement. Building a small group of accounts that engage with each other immediately after posting has become more valuable than chasing peak hours.

I still pay some attention to timing, but I do not think it is as important as it used to be. If the content is interesting and people start engaging with it, I have seen posts pic up hours later too. On X content quality matters more than posting at the perfect time now.
