The biggest improvement came from targeting less competitive keywords and updating content regularly. A lot of pages don't need more content, they need better topical relevance and stronger internal linking.

The biggest difference is usually not more content it’s better search intent matching and stronger authority, kind of. Most pages get to page 2 because they’ve got decent text but the ones on page 1 do a better job at satisfying what people really want, plus they tend to have stronger backlinks, tighter internal linking, and more topical authority too. So, take a close look at the top-ranking pages, then improve content depth and practical usefulness, also reinforce the internal links ,and finally build quality backlinks to close that gap.

I have noticed is that publishing content isn't enough. A few of my pages only started moving up after I updated them, improved the headings, and made sure they answered the searcher's question better than competing pages.

I noticed big improvement when I stopped writing generic content and started adding real experience, examples, or case-based insights. Google seems to prefer content that feels practical, not just informational.

for me the main change was focusing less on just keywords and on page seo but more on building some real authority for the site.
once i started matching content properly with search intent and got a few strong relevant backlinks then rankings started to hold.
before that i was also stuck on page 2 or 3 even with optimised posts.
