I don’t know if it’s only me, but X audience behavior feel different now. Some tweets get normal engagement, then same type next day totally flop. Even when content same quality, results not same anymore. Feels like people scrolling more but interacting less. Anyone else noticing this change or just my account?

I only noticed blown tweets blowing up again and again, when shared in same context by a total stranger in a different account.

try engaging with replies in a way that forces them to reply back, if you can get a commenter to go two or three replies deep, it seems to boost some reach

yeh same here, looks like ppl just scroll more now n engage less, dunno why lol

Not just you Feels much less predictable lately. Same type of post, same quality, sometimes even better timing… and results can still be completely different. Almost feels like people are consuming more content but interacting less than before. Curious if this is platform-wide or more niche-dependent.

I've noticed engagement feels more unpredictable lately too. Sometimes timing and the initial reactions seem to matter more than the content itself.

You're not the only one. i've noticed engagement has become much less consistent lately. Sometimes similar posts perform completely differently, so it feels like the algorithm is weighing factors beyond just content quality.

I think timing matters more now. same content posted on a different day or hour can perform very differently depending on what people are talking about.

So yes, I do not think it is just your account. engagement feels less stable lately and consistency is harder even with good content.

Honestly i think part of it is they shifted the optimization toward dwell time and not the visible engagement stuff. Like your impressions might be fine but the likes/RTs flop because the algo doesnt care about those as much as it used to... it wants people to stop scrolling and sit on the tweet for a few secs.

@LinkqubeX has a point about timing but i dont think its the whole thing. I ran two near identical accounts last year and posted the same threads at staggered times, and the gap in results was still all over the place even when timing matched. What did move the needle was anything that kept eyes on the post longer, longer text, a screenshot people actually had to read, that kind of stuff.

Also seen the reply chain thing @johnson2233 mentioned work but its hit or miss now, feels like they caught onto the obvious reply bait. Replies that genuinely make someone want to argue back still do well tho.

So yeah, not just your account. The signals they reward just changed under us and nobody got the memo lol.

Yeah there is less engagement from the target audience, dunno why this happens as you've said.
