i'm planing to buy a account with 50k followers from socialtradia.

my plan is to buy a luxury theme account and then change the user name and image to my personal name and image. then delete any irrelevant images.

if i do this will the account get blocked?
am i looking at this the correct way ?

im not planing to monetize may be run some ads but not expecting insta to pay me or anything.
its all about personal branding for me.

It can work, but changing everything at once is risky. I'd do it gradually.
The bigger issue is that those 50k followers followed for luxury content, not you personally, so don't expect all of them to stick around after the rebrand.

For personal branding, you are way better off starting from scratch. building an organic audience of 1000 real people who actually care about you is worth more than 50k random bots.

Done a few of these before and the rebrand never goes as smooth as people think. The follower count drops fast once you swap niche, insta's reach algo basically punishes the account when the new content doesn't match what those 50k originally engaged with. So you end up with a vanity number that looks good on paper but the actual reach tanks.

The account prob won't get blocked just for changing name/pic, that part is fine. What kills these is when the old followers are bots or dead accounts, which luxury theme pages often are... then you're paying for ghosts.

@curdoc is right about going gradual. Change the bio first, then slowly trickle in your own content mixed with the old style, then switch the pfp and handle last. Doing it all in one day is what triggers the weird engagement death imo.

Honest take though, for personal branding 50k of someone else's audience isn't really yours. Might be better spent on ads pointing to a smaller account that's actually you from day one.
