How Do New Accounts Grow So Fast on X

I often see new adult accounts on X that gain 20k or more followers within 2–3 weeks and consistently get thousands of likes and views. I’m interested in how they do it. Is it some kind of paid promotion? Do they buy ads somewhere? Or are there really free ways to grow that quickly?
I’m still new to X, so I’m trying to understand how growth works here.

The speedy growing accounts you see on X, on a high proportion, is of already made influencers who have the networks of other influential accounts in the adult niche and collectively assist in the growth of a friend's new account, by simply retweeting, and quoting the tweets of the infant account. This activity is done for reasons that ends up with monetization, not just X's own kind of earning, but selling to brands or OF models for high profits, then rinse and repeat.

Tbh, it's usually a mix of consistency, networking, and sometimes paid promotion

it can look like that, some are just really good at posting consistently or jumping on trends early, but a lot of the super fast growth usually has some boost behind it like shoutouts, promos, etc... Organic fast growth is possible, just not that common.

the way adult accounts grow on X is through a lot of engagement. Most of them are connected, and they constantly hype each other with retweets. The accounts also make it a point to appear early in the replies section of major account with ragebait
