Is Quora Spam Dead in 2026? Everything Gets Deleted or Collapsed. Anyone Still Having Success with Quora Traffic?

I'm looking for advice on how people are successfully spamming Quora these days.

I've been using Quora for traffic since 2020, mainly in the crypto niche. Until about two months ago, it was actually my biggest traffic source.

Back in 2020-2021, things were easy. I could create fresh accounts, post answers with links, and everything worked. Out of 50 answers, around 40 would stick. For the remaining 10, I would simply leave another comment or post another answer, and eventually they would get indexed and stay live.

During 2022-2023, Quora became stricter. Accounts made with temporary email were banned in few minutes, and posting comments with links became more difficult. Still, it wasn't a major issue. I started buying aged accounts, filled out the profile properly, added a profile picture, followed some users, liked a few posts, left a couple of comments to make the account look natural, and everything continued to work. Sometimes I just had to answer the same question 2-3 times before one of the comments would stick.

However, during the last two months, things have become almost impossible.

I've been testing the Quora algorithm for over a month and can't figure out what's going on.

First, I tested aged accounts (2-3 years old, complete profiles, existing activity, followers, and following). Every comment containing a link was deleted almost instantly.

Then I tried posting comments without links, still in the crypto niche. Out of 10 comments, 2 were deleted even though they contained no links at all, and all of the remaining ones were collapsed.

I thought maybe the accounts were flagged, so I bought accounts from a different supplier. Results were the same. Post was deleted or collapsed.

Then I thought maybe Quora was detecting AI-generated content, so I stopped using ChatGPT (although I never just copy paste from ChatGPT) and started writing everything manually. Same results: deleted or collapsed.

Next, I tested completely fresh accounts. Again, same story. Without a link, the answer gets collapsed. With a link, it gets deleted within 15-20 minutes.

I even tried answering completely normal, non-crypto questions. Things like simple math questions ("What is 2+2?") or translation questions from Spanish to English after setting my profile language to Spanish. Even those answers ended up collapsed.

At this point, I honestly don't know what else to test.

I've read several threads where people recommend "warming up" accounts and only adding a link in every 10th answer. But how am I supposed to do that when even answers on completely normal questions, with no links, are being collapsed or deleted from both brand-new and aged profiles?

It genuinely feels like it's become impossible to post anything on Quora, regardless of the content.

Has anyone experienced something similar recently?

Any ideas, suggestions, or tests I should run?

I think you are approaching it from the wrong angle. If even answer without links are getting collapsed then buying more aged accounts or changing suppliers probably won't solve the problem.
From what I have seen recently, quora seems to be evaluating account behavior much more aggressively than before. If I were in your position, I stop testing promotional content entirely for a couple of weeks and use one account a as a normal user.

I know Quora has become much stricter recently as well. In my experience the platform is putting a lot more emphasis on content quality,account trust and user value than it did a few years ago.focusing on answering questions in your niche with genuinely helpful and detailed responses rather than trying to drive traffic directly. Most of people visits profile and came from answers .I think quora is much better detecting now.

From what you have described, I don't think the issue is the age of the accounts anymore.

Quora has become much more aggressive with trust and quality signals, especially in niches like crypto, finance, and investments. I have also seen answers get collapsed even without links when the account itself doesn't have enough positive engagement history or when Quora considers the topic high-risk.

If both aged and fresh accounts are getting the same treatment, I would start looking beyond the accounts themselves. Things like IP reputation, posting patterns, niche sensitivity, and overall account trust seem to matter a lot more now than they did a few years ago.

I would not say Quora traffic is dead, but the old methods that worked in 2020–2023 definitely seem much less effective today.

Of course, I've considered creating or buying an older account and slowly building it up. However, what really concerns me is that Quora was collapsing my answers even when they had nothing to do with crypto.

The content wasn't promotional, didn't contain any links, and wasn't trying to sell anything. I was answering simple questions related to topics connected to my profile, such as basic math questions, language translations, and other general topics. Yet most of those answers were still getting collapsed.

That's what makes me skeptical about the whole "just build the account naturally" approach.

How am I supposed to build a genuine-looking account and gain followers if nobody can even see my answers, including normal, non-promotional ones?

I'll definitely create an account and spend a few weeks building it properly just to see what happens. Maybe I'm missing something. But after everything I've tested over the last month, I've become pretty skeptical about Quora in general.

It's harder, haven't seen quora ranking nearly as well as it used to, especially with AI answers now being in basically every single query, but it's sort of still worth doing in my opinion.
