Hi guys,
I’m trying to diagnose a LinkedIn outbound campaign that started strong and then died. First two weeks: 6 positive replies out of about 60 cold LinkedIn messages. All were new cold contacts: no warm intros, no previous engagement, no paid ads, no automation at scale. After that, performance fell off hard. Same target market, same type of profiles, same offer, same basic message, same account. For the last two months I’ve had hardly any replies and the scarce are polite “thanks, not interested” type of reply.
Because i noticed the drop I changed the volume after the initial period: volume dropped from around 15 sends/day to around 5 sends/day. So the sample size is not huge, but the reply quality changed too.
The message structure that worked initialy and stayed stayed the same basically:
The pitch in simple terms:
"In companies dealing with external/regulatory/business issues, teams often discuss the expected effort required, but less often the expected value at stake.
We translate those issues into financial impact, assumptions and decision options, so leadership can decide where intervention is worth it.
CTA was to show this in a 15-minute demo using their company as the example.
One possible related signal: a few months earlier I saw a similar pattern on LinkedIn content from the same account. At around 1,000 connections, some posts initially got decent reach, then reach suddenly slowed down hard. In one case I remember seeing only around 30 impressions after 8 hours. I’m not sure if that is related, but mentioning it in case account trust / visibility matters.
For people who have run LinkedIn outbound: what would you test first?

The message structure that worked initialy and stayed stayed the same basically:
- Start with a company-specific regulatory or political issue
- Connect it to P&L, growth, permits, project risk, investors or board/finance
- Explain that we quantify those scenarios into financial impact
- CTA: 15-minute demo + quick calculation on one current company dossier
