Are telegrams ads better than facebook ads for community growth?

I am looking to grow my online community and considering both telegrams Ads and facebook Ads.

I would like to know which is more effective platform .

who have used both how do results compare in terms of growth, engagement , targeting options and overall cost?

I have used both platforms and in my experience that is depends on your goal. If your main goal is to grow a telegram channel or community then telegrams ads can work very well because users stay within the telegram ecosystem and can join your channel . facebook ads usually often more advanced getting targeting options and can reach a much large audience. facebook to join and stay active in telegram community can sometimes be more challenging.

I have my own telegram store (web app) for the sale of domains. I spent about $2,000 (I demanded a 10-30% discount from almost all those I advertised to) and I want to say that the advertising brought profit only in 1 bot and 1 channel. In 3 bots, I reached 0 or almost reached this level, in the rest I'm in the red. Please note that I clearly understood where I was advertising and whether my audience was there, but later, after talking with other administrators, I was told that there were cases of advertising for $ 500 that did not bring any result. Now I understand where my audience is located and advertising integrations in them cost from $ 600 and above. I didn't use it about TelegramADS, but my competitors use targeting on each other, so I can't say if it's effective, but according to them, topics other than domain sales just drain the budget.
