Can I Upload TikTok Videos to YouTube Shorts? Need Advice

Yes, you can repurpose your content, but you absolutely cannot just save the video from TikTok and upload it directly.

YouTube's Shorts algorithm uses optical character recognition (OCR) and visual AI to detect the TikTok watermark. If the machine sees it, your video is immediately flagged and its reach is aggressively throttled. They want original content, or at least content that looks native to their platform.

You can reuse TikTok videos on YouTube Shorts, just make sure theres no watermark. It wont affect growth or monetization if your content is original, but plain reposts may get less reach, so tweak the caption and presentation for YouTube.

If you own the content, you can share it to as many platforms as you want. Just make sure not to download from tiktok and upload to youtube. You can upload original video to both platforms simultaneously. Using the same profile name also helps.

YES, YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN AND YOU SHOULD. It is probably the best practice. If you happen to run into a clipper (person who takes a video, finds the funny moments and uploads them to various platforms) they will also tell you that you absolutely should and in this day and age where if u want to reach everyone u have to adopt this habit.

Yeah you can do it, but use the clean export from your editor if you still have it. Don’t pull the downloaded TikTok file with logo and repost that, not because YouTube will always “ban” it or whatever, but it just screams recycled content and sometimes starts slow.

What worked better for me was changing the first 1-2 seconds, using YouTube’s title style, and sometimes swapping the audio if it was a TikTok trending sound. Monetization is fine if it’s your own content, but if the whole channel looks like mass reposts with watermarks and no native feel, then later it can get messy under reused content review. Crosspost yes, lazy repost no imo.

yes you can just remove any TT marks off your clip

you can cross post but remove the watermark first since YouTube’s algo actively flags watermarked content and it will limit your reach. CapCut or snapTik can strip the watermark cleanly before you upload.

i dont see why not, if it's your videos, make sure you optimize for each platform since they may look the same but there are some slight differences. If you're taking just videos from TT, make sure you get the videos with no watermarks

If it's yours then Just avoid the tiktok watermark
