How I almost got scammed out of $4000

Almost got hit by a crypto refund scam. A guy hired me for a $3k job, then claimed his accountant accidentally sent “6999” and asked for a $4k refund. I almost sent it until I realized the payment was only 6.999 USDT, not $6,999. He deleted the chat right after I called it out. Always double-check decimals in crypto payments.
 
Although this is impossible, I thought the guy got his $7,000 back after you sent the money. That's strange. We have to be careful.

I think they are more scammers than fraud, but yes! Crypto much easily to steal than cash or money in the bank!
