I've been digging into Stripe account stability lately, and one thing stands out

Thai registered Stripe accounts seem to have significantly lower ban rates for legit or even borderline businesses.

Honestly, we've tested a lot of things lately, and Thai Stripe is clearly the easiest to use.

No random blocking or suspension, much more flexible moderation

if you don't ship or sell in a sensitive niche, this is the best option right now.

Stripe policies are generally global, and perceived stability often depends on account history, dispute rates, business model, and volume patterns, not just the country of registration.

Some regions may feel “easier” early on, but that doesn’t usually change how Stripe reviews accounts once scale increases. What works at low–mid volume can look very different at higher volume.

In the long run, consistency, low disputes, clear product descriptions, and transparent operations tend to matter more than geography alone.

I don't think stripe cares about the country, but their rules are global.

Interesting insight. It really shows how Stripe’s risk systems can vary by region. Still, long-term stability usually depends more on business compliance and transaction quality than the country alone.

They do care, as long with other dozens of metrics. There is people running with a 10-15 dispute rate for years without getting shut down.
Yeah I've seen that also while others get banned with only a 0.2% Dispute rate.

I don't know about stripe in this case but local regulations do matters how these fintechs act.

I need someone from US to JV with and I can get the processors, you get a guaranteed pay per month + percentage of the profits

I really thing that been banned on stripe depends whether your business is a real business or not, nothing less and nothing more. keep it simple build a real brand and your stripe wont get banned

Is there any way for me to use stripe with a "fake" business.
Just looking to use it as a payment processor. Rather than using PayPal for example.

yeah local entities absolutely matter because of the local partner banks stripe has to use in each region. the kyc and manual review queues are often handled by regional offices, so thailand or other sea accounts definitely have different trigger thresholds compared to us or uk. but like others said, once you start scaling and hitting higher numbers, the global automated system flags you anyway. you might get away with more borderline stuff at 5k a month but at 50k it usually ends up in the same place...

Interesting observation. My experience has been that account stability usually depends more on factors like chargeback rates, compliance, fulfillment quality, and transaction patterns than the country of registration alone.

country gets overweighted in these threads. a thai entity might clear the initial kyc a bit easier, sure, but stripe's prohibited-business list is global and it's enforced on your transaction descriptors and dispute rate, not where you registered. the second your patterns read as adult or high-risk they freeze you the same, except now your balance is stuck in a thai account, which is worse. for genuinely borderline stuff, geo-shopping stripe just delays the freeze, the real answer is a high-risk processor built for it. what vertical are you running that's actually getting the bans?
