Most bloggers see little progress in the early stages. Is this a normal phase of blogging growth or a sign that something is wrong with the strategy?

most of the time it's normal, google keeps sites in a sandbox / limbo / whatever it's called for some months. But this doesn't happen all the time, I think there are some exceptions, but I don't know them...
 
It's usually a normal part of the process. The early months are often about building content and authority, so progress can feel slow before things start gaining momentum.

it's all about consistency. Google just takes time to rank a site, but once it ranks, you just have to keep doing more of the same, and posting unique and engaging content, and no matter how tempting it gets, avoid ai slop

yeah its totally normal coz google takes at least 4 to 6 months to trust a brand new domain, just keep posting daily and dont worry about views yet.
 
It's slow because you're going after keywords with real competition. Instead, go after zero-search-volume long-tails and ultra-specific forum questions that have zero competition. Once Google sees real humans clicking and staying on your site for those weird little queries, the site-wide trust filter lifts much more quickly.
