I spent a lot of time figuring out how Flippa runs - not just as a place to post a sale, but as a whole network for flipping websites, eCommerce shops and small online businesses. At first glance it seems easy - put the site up, wait for offers and finish the sale. The part that matters is how you present the site, how you prove the numbers plus where you place the listing so people notice it.
A lot of sellers start without knowing how buyers judge a listing. Buyers look at where the traffic comes from, whether the profit stays steady and how little work the site needs day to day. Buyers also hunt for bargains - sites priced too low, sites that still have room to grow, sites with clear money streams and sites whose numbers are easy to check.
From what I watched, the listings that sell quickly but also for a high price do four things
They show real analytics and real revenue screenshots
They spell out the business model in plain words
They prove steady growth or show that growth is easy to add
They hand over a clear plan and step-by-step instructions
Now I want to hear from anyone who has used Flippa very well that :
If you listed a site (or plan to), how did you write the description, how did you promote it as well as how did you set the price?
If you are buyer, What red flags do you always check for before bidding or buying?
If you are Sellers, how much prep work did you put in before listing? Was it worth it?
In 2025, is Flippa still the greatest website selling platform? If so, what kinds of websites niches are genuinely lucrative and have a high rate of sales these days?
