I will not sugar coat this. People waking up at 5 AM to get a head-start on the day is one of the most overrated trends of the past decade. The 5 AM cult believes that waking up when it’s still dark outside is the best way to become successful.
I am here to tell you the truth. Waking up early does not equal productivity. It just means that you are most likely burned out and completely unable to function by 2 PM. Getting work done is a balance of managing your time and energy throughout the day. It is not about waking up at 5 AM just to post on social media. If you get your best work done at 11 PM, then that is what you should do.
I also think the early risers just love the bragging rights.
