What platforms are you using nowadays, for ad monetization, for your apps?

Are you using other in-app monetization methods? I have a casual game and a utility app ready to submit for monetization.

For casual games and utility apps, AdMob and Unity Ads are still solid go-to platforms. Some also use AppLovin or IronSource for better fill rates. You can mix in in-app purchases or offerwalls for extra revenue if it fits your app flow.

For casual games, I use AdMob + Unity Ads. For utility apps, AdMob + AppLovin works well. Also testing in-app purchases and subscriptions for utilities.

I'll say pass to Admob(i have my reasons) but I was also considering unity ads. I think I'll start with the game and keep things simple, while for the utility app I'll test some premium content/subsciption.

Thanks for the feedback. If someone has more opinions, I`m still exploring.

That's great you're ready to monetize your apps! Right now for ad monetization we're primarily using AdMob and Unity Ads. We've also experimented a bit with ironSource but haven't fully integrated it across all our apps just yet. It really depends on the specific game or app and the user base. Beyond ads we're exploring in-app purchases for extra features or content especially for our games. A subscription model might work well too for utility apps providing ongoing value. We're also looking into rewarded video ads offering users bonuses for watching ads feels less intrusive. It's a constant balancing act finding the right mix that maximizes revenue without hurting the user experience. Good luck with your launches!

Has anyone tried push ads for mobile sdk (android or unity) from Mondiad?

For Malaysia, AdSense works but the approval can be tricky and RPM isn’t always great. A lot of publishers I know try PropellerAds, Adsterra, or Media.net as alternatives. Pop and push networks also monetize well in that region -I personally had okay results with AdMaven on Malaysian traffic, especially with push ads. Best thing is to test a couple of them side by side since performance really depends on your audience.

OP it's talking about apps, not websites

For utility apps, I’d also consider in-app purchases alongside ads

mostly use AdMob for apps and games. Easy to set up and works well if you’ve got enough traffic.

You can use Admob and Unity Ads, will surely serve you well.
Also consider in-app purchases alongside ads.

I’ve had good results with AdMaven for app monetization — easy setup, pays on time, and supports multiple ad formats. Worth testing if you’re tired of the usual AdMob grind.

Try mixing a few ad sources and see which one gives the best fill and revenue — results really depend on your app’s audience.

For game and app development, AdMob remains the most popular option. It's currently the best choice available.

If you're just starting out, don't make the mistake of plugging in a single ad network like AdMob alone. If they random-ban you or your fill rate drops, your revenue goes to zero overnight.

You 100% need to use an ad mediation platform instead. It aggregates 20+ top networks (AdMob, AppLovin, Mintegral, Unity, etc.) and forces them to bid against each other in real-time auctions for every single impression.

I use CAS.ai for my setup to automate the backend, but whatever you choose, mediation is the only way to go. Switching to automated mediation boosted my eCPMs by like 70-90% and more than doubled my revenue simply because it completely eliminates unfilled ad slots.

The best part is it runs on autopilot, so you don't waste hours manually tweaking waterfalls or worrying about setup plumbing. Just set up mediation from day one so you don't leave money on the table while focusing on scaling traffic.

For utility apps and casual games, many developers still rely on AdMob and Unity Ads. Platforms like AppLovin and IronSource can also help improve monetization and ad coverage. If it suits your app, adding in-app purchases or reward-based offers can create additional revenue streams.
