Do you update old content regularly or do you focus on publishing new content?

I usually see better ROI from updating existing pages first since they already have some authority, then using new content to target fresh keywords.

If I had to choose one, I'd probably update existing content first.

I have seen pages move up in rankings after improving outdated information, titles, and internal links. It's usually faster than waiting for a brand-new page to gain attention.

I will suggest to spend your time fixing what you already have. most people see a much quicker jump in views by fixing old stuff.

if the site is still new then focus on publishing more pages, you can worry about updating them later when they actually start getting impressions.

If time was limited I'd probably lean toward updating content that's already getting some traction. Sometimes small improvements can do more than starting from zero again

I usually update old content first, especially if it's already getting some traffic. I've seen articles move up a few positions just from updating information and improving the content. After that, publishing new articles is constant.

Id personally focus more on refreshing existing content first since it usually gives faster SEO gains and builds on pages that already have some traction. Then I’d slowly roll in new pages around gaps or fresh keywords so you’re not spreading effort too thin.

If time is limited, I usually prioritize refreshing existing content first because it already has some authority and indexing, so small improvements can give faster ranking gains.

If time is limited, I usually update existing content first because small improvements can produce faster gains than publishing from scratch. A lot of sites have underperforming pages that just need better intent matching, fresher information, or stronger internal links.

I will add couple of more articles. I will update later old existing content

If you had limited time each week, would you prioritize refreshing existing content or creating new pages? Curious to hear about what has produced better SEO results for others.
It becomes more prudent to update pages that already have some visits, since it yields faster results when you make your current material fresh than creating new pages that have zero visits

If time is limited, i would usually refresh existing content first, especially pages already ranking on page 2 or bottom of page 1. small improvements there often bring faster SEO gains than new posts.

If time is limited, I update old content first. Refreshing proven pages often delivers faster SEO gains than publishing new content from scratch.

If I had limited time I would focus on updating existing content first Improving pages that already have some rankings or traffic often delivers faster SEO results than publishing brand new content especially when those pages are close to reaching higher positions

I regularly update old content to keep it aligned with AI-driven search. Publishing and updating new content consistently every week is something I consider essential.

I focus on both updating old content and publishing new content because both are important for long-term SEO growth.
Updating old articles helps improve rankings and traffic faster, while new content helps target fresh keywords and expand the website’s reach.

The best SEO strategy with limited time is usually a balance. p
Prioritize updating and improving existing high potential content first, then consistently publish new content to expand your reach.
