Remote work has become the norm for many people, but the debate is still ongoing.

Some say working from home boosts productivity because there are fewer office distractions, no commute, and more flexibility.

Others argue that office environments improve focus, collaboration, accountability, and overall performance.

In your experience, who is more productive: remote workers or office workers? And why?

Let's hear some real world opinions.

As someone who has worked in both environments and is now working fully remotely, I agree that remote workers are more productive. I don't waste time commuting, no office shenanigans, no sudden meetings, a better workspace (that I can redesign to meet my needs and comfort), low stress (since I am an introvert; not dealing with coworkers in the office is better for me). I could go on, but that is my take.

To work properly at home some conditions has to be met, coz there is always something that will catch my focus off like wife , kids , TV, dogs or home things to do... Of course those are related to your life structure. To keep my commitments and tasks organised, i have my own place like a room office, and everyone know that when im there, its a no go to ask anything. I mean this is what works for me. but not always.

Concerning working at office, can't remenber being more productive there. But again its depend of your work and how important are the co-workers, for communications and solve issues it's always best.

It depends on the onsite work conditions i guess, but personally, honestly no
I'm far more distracted when i wrote remote than when I go onsite.

It's not a question of the environment one way or another.

Motivated, honest workers will perform similarly regardless.

Only if remote workers don't have a family that keeps annoying them. If you live alone, then sure, one can be more productive working from home.

Worked remote for a while and it's basically the same, just different environment. Personally though, I'd rather be around real people than dealing with 10 video calls every day

Depends on your personality.

I am more productive working from my home office, but I sometimes miss office affairs.

work from office is more efficient also puntual sometimes work from home consume extra time

I let workers go remote simply for QoL improvement. If i don't want to be in my car for over an hour every day, why would I make my employees?
