Yeah ,why not its work very well but one condition is applicable that is your answer should have value. Look at follower count ,recent updates and the question actually rank on google. A relevant answer is often better than just chasing the biggest numbers.And for high traffic questions you should search target keywords on Quora on google because many questions rank in search results.

I think it can work, but not every high view question bring traffic. The question needs to be relevant to your niche and still getting recent engagement.
