The First Thing You Google About Yourself

Probably a few months ago just to do a quick 'egosurfing' check and make sure no random, outdated profiles or weird public records were popping up on the first page. It's always a bit of a relief when it's just quiet or full of other people with the same name!

Same here. I think the real value is catching issues early before they become visible to others. Even a few outdated or irrelevant listings can quietly affect perception without you noticing.

Be honest.

When was the last time you searched your own name or business name?

I did it today and found a few things I wasn't expecting.

Most people monitor their analytics.

Very few monitor their search results.

Do you regularly check what appears when someone searches for you?
I am unknown >no online presence at all< for me being a girl its important to be anonymous

Even when I search my name nothing shows up on the search engine

I found my profile from 2008
I see my school people there
Now I can wank without problem to their photos.

I have a question: when you search for ur own name, do you ever wonder how many other people share it :)

Plenty have my name, but many have some similar.

Some people run companies under my name. That's not me!

Another person I used to know looks like me, but has diff gender. Nobody messages me though. I don't have any personal SM.

Guilty as charged. I usually do it when I'm bored, but you're spot on—most people don't think about it until a client brings up some random link they found.
I checked mine a few weeks ago and found an old portfolio site I forgot to delete like 4 years ago. It looked terrible and had outdated pricing. Nuke-ing those old links is basically digital hygiene at this point.
Now you got me curious, what did you actually find today that surprised you?
