Do you trust Reddit reviews more than Google reviews?

whenever I search for a product or service, I usually end up adding Reddit to my search.
Google reviews are useful but sometimes they feel too positive or too short. on reddit, people usually share more detailed experiences, both good and bad.
Am i only the one who trusts reddit reviews more these days? or do you use both before making a decision?

You're definitely not the only one. I often check both, but Reddit tends to provide more detailed real-world experiences, including the negatives that official reviews may miss. Google reviews are still useful for spotting overall trends, but Reddit can offer much more context before making a decision.

I second that. If google does not give me a good enough overview about something i want to purchase i also go to reddit to look for more real/detailed/live experience reviews of something.
 
Reddit reviews can feel more honest because users discuss pros and cons openly. but they can also be biased sometimes.
 
I usually check both. Reddit is great for real user experiences, while Google reviews can help spot common patterns when there are enough of them.
 
Yes, I prefer check product reviews on reddit, recently bought perfumes based on reddit reviews, it was perfect. Feel like reddit replaced Quora and other reviews sites.

You're definitely not the only one. I still check Google reviews, but I look at Reddit too because people usually share more detailed experiences and mention the downsides there. Using both gives a more balanced picture before making a decision.

I usually use both smartly. Google reviews are useful for getting a quick review, but reddit discussions often provide more detailed experience and real world feedback, including the nagatives. Reddit opinions can sometimes be biased too, so I prefer checking both sources before making a decision, especially for expensive products or services.

Google reviews give a quick overview through ratings and short comments, while Reddit discussions often provide more detailed experiences, pros, cons, and real-world insights.
 
Both are good for me. Reading reddit comments is hard for non-reddit users tho.

Google's been penetrated by mass marketing more than reddit.

Average business owner doesn't understand how to manipulate Reddit yet but Google they definitely do .

Plus Reddit is MORE EXPENSIVE to properly manipulate .

People can buy fake reviews for Google, amazon, etc for cheaper as it requires less effort.
 
I tend to trust Reddit reviews because it feels more like an open discussion rather than a collection of isolated ratings.
Like If a product is genuinely bad, or someone had a bad experience with it, chances are you're gonna read about that on the same discussion. Mixed bag, you get the for and against camp with the sporadic counterarguments at times, all in one place. Sort of lends credence to its authenticity. Not to say it can't be manipulated but it does feels more like listening to a conversation from a variety of angles, compared your bog-standard Google review.

yes but as always with caution. with the number of people/agencies offering fake reviews, you can't be too sure nowadays lol. good thing "we" know about this

I don't rely on anyone, instead I use both carefully before making any decision.
 
personally, I use reddit more to verfiy claims compared to google. There is always that one post from years ago that does the most honest review of even features you never thought about
