Getting mass reported on Facebook Marketplace by someone I know — any solutions?

Hello all, I sell cars on Facebook Marketplace, and my old friend is creating random accounts and reporting my listings and profile for "scamming". My listings will randomly go into review, I've had to verify my license to my profile, and my listings have effectively zero views since the reporting began. I've already won two appeals to the Marketplace ban. I was wondering if anyone has a solution. No other sites for selling cars get me anywhere close to as many leads as Facebook, even while being shadowbanned. Currently, I'm making all of my income from Facebook, and I could post on a friend's account, but I don't want to drag them into the situation. ANY ideas/ help would be appreciated

have you tried to reach out to them to tell them to cut it out, sometimes all it takes is to tell someone being mean that you know it's them

This and also you could buy some other accounts with marketplace access.
 
Ive had 2 Auto Dealers gang up on me to trigger a takedown of my account.

FB powers most of our customer pipeline and web traffic so its necessary to fight back.

The country im currently operating in has some malicious dealers.

First and foremost, subscribe to Meta Verified.
This is a MUST if your business is on someone's bullseye.
Make sure all the details on your personal and business page match all the legal information.

This would give you access to human support so you can specifically report a CIB.

As for the shadowban and zero views,
I use the Mother/Child Method to continously promote and boost my FBM and Business Pages... CONTINUOUSLY!

And this one goes without saying... dont rely on just your personal profile to manage your pages.

And this is one optional... revenge... yeah!

Thank you for your insight! I've never heard of the Mother/Child Method. Can you explain that to me? Ive had problems with being shadowbanned on Facebook for the last year, and I've tried so many workarounds. It seems like You've been in my shoes before, so any other help/ insights would be appreciated.
 
Create more accounts as a backup, bro. Facebook always has unreasonable rules and could ban your account at any time. If all your income comes from there, it's very risky.

This seems like good advice.

P.S. - Pay your friend a visit, and make him an offer he cannot refuse. :P
 
Two parallel tracks. Defensive: rotate to a new FB account for selling (different IP, different Meta business account if you have BM), keep the original for non-sales activity — once a profile has been mass-reported, Meta's trust score on it stays degraded for ~6 months even after wins. Offensive (if you know who it is): file a Meta cyberbullying report against the harasser's pattern of behavior (mass reporting from suspected fake accounts is itself a ToS violation), include the account names that reported you. Meta's harassment team actually responds to this when there's a clear pattern. Don't bother appealing each listing individually — that's a treadmill, fix the source.
 
If you have already won the appeals I would just focus on document everything and keeping your account as clean and consistent as possible. Don't try to directly react to the person reporting you and keep records of any false reports in case support asks for evidence again.

The Mother/Child method is like your own online support fleet.
I use only my own handmade accounts.
90% of them are aged( between 2008-2012)

For example, if I post a new listing, i use the accounts to increase clicks, messages, shares, saves, follows & ratings.
I rarely ever use ads.
I get most of my sales from organic reach.

That's just a basic idea, but there are many more very effective strategies (using the Mother/Child method) to get out of a shadowban.
I cant write them all in detail on this site.
