How long does it take for a YouTube video to be fully judged now?

for initial signals, i'd still watch the first few days. for final judgment, who knows anymore. youtube feels more like a rolling evaluation system now. good videos can get multiple chances if viewer behavior stays strong. i've stopped declaring winners and losers too early.

YouTube Shorts are judged much faster due to the high-speed nature of the feed. A short typically hits its first major traffic wave and levels off within the first few days of uploading.

Shorts get judged within 24 hours. And When you re edit the title or description or tags of a short, it gets judged again within 1-5 hours.
For youtube long form videos, it takes more time. I've had videos get views long after the initial launch period.

I think YouTube takes longer to figure out the right audience these days. because of that I seen videos gain momentum even after a week or two.

It’s definitely longer now. YouTube doesn't just kill or blow up a video in 3 days anymore.
The algorithm takes its time to test the video on different small sample groups. A video can sit at zero views for a week, and then suddenly hit a wave of impressions on day 10 because the system finally found a micro-niche that fits your topic. Don't touch or delete anything for at least 2 weeks before judging its performance.

YouTube is now updating day by day. On previous days, your video was judged within 24 hours. If there is any good content, a good script that goes viral. But now That no happening. You can check your audience activity or can improve your content.

From what I've seen, YouTube can start pushing a video within the first few days, but some videos don't get fully picked up until weeks or even months later.

Its no longer a fixed 24–72 hours usually similar, but it can take several days or even longer depending on the channel, content and YouTube’s review load.
