I see a lot of people posting consistently on TikTok but still struggling to get views or engagement. In your experience, what is the most common mistake that prevents creators from growing on the platforms?

not taking time to understand how tiktok truly works in all its entirety

The biggest mistake is focusing on posting frequency instead of creating content people actually want to watch Strong hooks audience understanding and retention matter more than posting every day

I think The biggest mistake is wasting the first 3 seconds with a slow intro or introduction. If you do not grab the viewer's attention instantly, they will swipe away before your video even gets started.

Most people keep posting same kinda boring or random content without focusing on hook in first 2–3 sec and what audience actually wants, so videos don’t get attention or watch time drops fast.

I think a lot of people quit too early. They post for a few weeks, don't see results, and assume TikTok doesn't work for them. They post content and expect likes or comments automatically.

Many creators think they need to do every popular dance or use every trending audio. If you only copy others, your channel loses its original personality and becomes boring to watch.

I think one of the biggest mistakes is focusing on posting quantity instead of creating content that actually grabs attention in the first few seconds.

posting more of what they want to make instead of what people want to watch. tiktok gives feedback fast. if 50 videos flop the same way, the algorithm usually isn't the problem. most growth comes from studying the winners and swallowing a little ego.

using to many weird hashtags like #f__Y_...000P like what the hell dude?

Viewers typically pay attention within the first 2-3 seconds, so the initial content must be very engaging. Keywords also contribute a small part to trending.

The biggest mistake they do is not using hooks. grab the attention of your audience in first few seconds otherwise they will just go past your content.

I think ignoring your audience is a big mistake. Replying to comments and interacting with followers can help build a stronger and more loyal community.

One of the biggest mistakes is focusing only on posting consistently without improving content quality or understanding what the audience actually wants. Strong hooks, retention, and giving people a reason to watch till the end usually matter more than just posting every day.

i think its weak hooks, tiktok unlike other platforms is just an easy swipe to the next videos. if the visuals and audio in your first 3 seconds dont make people swipe back up you will stay stuck at 200 views

biggest mistake is posting without a strong hook in first 1 to 2 secs
most people also copy trends too late so content feels recycled
consistency alone doesnt fix weak retention so videos never get pushed

Many people fail on TikTok because they focus too much on the quantity of videos rather than their quality.

The biggest mistake is focusing on quantity over quality. Posting a lot helps, but if the hook isn't strong, people will scroll past and engagement stays low.
