I see a lot of advice about linkedin growth, personal branding, and networking. In your opinion, what is the most common mistake people make that prevents them from getting meaningful engagement or opportunities on linkedin.

I guess the biggest misconception about LinkedIn that treating linkedin like a digital resume instead of a dynamic or two-way conversation

In my opinion, one of the biggest mistake is treating linkedin like a sales platform from day one. Many users focus on promoting themselves or their services instead of building relationships and providing value. I have noticed that profiles which consistently share useful insights and engage with others tend to get much better results over time.

A common mistake is having an incomplete profile. A strong profile helps people understand who you are and what you do.

I am working on linkedin from last 3 years. According to my personal experience, the biggest mistake is focusing too much on selling and not enough on building relationships. People who consistently share useful insights and engage with others usually get better results than those who only promote their services.

Perhaps it’s a case of overselling their profile beyond their actual abilities.
