Does a fitness blog still make sense nowadays?

I practice calisthenics using basic exercises, and I’d like to start a blog about it.

I’ve tried YouTube, but it feels very forced to me, and I really don’t enjoy talking on camera. At most, I could record myself doing exercises, so I think I’d feel much more comfortable writing a blog instead.

The problem is that I keep reading that ranking on Google is very difficult these days, and I also think this topic might fall under YMYL.

I don’t like social media either, and I’m not considering posting short videos regularly.

Do you think a fitness blog can still work today, or is it no longer worth it?

A blog basically is an AI feeder. Unless you are going to add massive value and many automations to the mix, nowadays a blog is the last thing I would start.

In YouTube there is no fixed format. If you find a nice style you won't even need to talk to camera or you could talk with a voiceover if you feel more comfy as long as you show something interesting on cam.

Bare in mind that some people are even having success just with narratives and putting a gameplay on screen completely unrelated. For example, within the gossiping niche.

Unless you plan on focusing on the physiological aspects of fitness, you might want to figure out how to create fitness content using media. Fitness is physical, works best with visuals.

You can take it as hobby. Instagram is good at it.

I would say it's a waste of time due to established huge competitors + AI becoming the place to go about fitness, people use it even for mental health, lmao...

But there's a chance, I guess. You'd need to create a website about a very specific subniche, not just exercises, gym, calisthenics, this is toooo broad, you'd need to focus in something way smaller with much less competition, maybe monetize it via affiliate programs and dominate a very small specific subniche

If you are just going to write about calisthenics as a whole, well, you will waste your time

all niche blogs are perfect recent with the expose of ai tool to generate content with optimize to index webpage in any target niche, adding of related keyword help in secure many traffics with same content upload.

If it's something you're interested in, I think you will have better success in it.

A calisthenics blog can still work especially if you’re sharing real experience from your own training rather than trying to compete with big fitness sites

calisthenics blog can still work, especially since it's not hardcore medical YMYL. But ranking will be slow without social or video. Write solid content and focus on long-tail keywords and build

A calisthenics blog can still work but I think the key is not trying to compete with big fitness sites. Focus more on your own journey, progress and what you’re actually learning along the way

Almost 72% of the US people are overweight, so since you know good English you could tap into that market. A fitness blog can definitely work therefore.

I think a fiteness blog can still work, if you are genuinely passionate about calisthenics and have real experience to share. Ranking on google is definitely more competitive than it used to be but there are still opportunities in specific niches and personal experience based content.

A fitness blog can still work if you're passionate about the topic and focus on sharing genuine experience and useful content. Consistency and building a loyal audience often matter more than chasing search rankings alone.

If you do go for it, having your own before-after pics or journaling daily progress can really show you're walking the walk, not just talking about reps and routines. It's easier now to spice things up with free web tools for infographics or photo collages. I got more clicks after tossing up silly workout memes that fit my theme, and people love a good laugh between squats.
