+1 to @Alpha1404 — buy both, 301 the one with backlinks. Two practical notes that catch people though: map redirects at the URL level (so /blog/post-x/ → equivalent page on the new site, not everything dumped on the homepage — that loses deep-link equity), and run the 301 from edge (Cloudflare Page Rules, free) rather than the old hosting, otherwise the redirect dies the day the old host expires.
