Hello everyone,
I am learning social media marketing that's why I created reddit account. But it is banned. I have followed all the rules and terms so what is the reason behind this.

It's kind of a tactic Reddit uses; they usually shadow ban instead of outright bans because the platform has been really overrun by bots and marketers lately.

If it's your first reddit acc it might be bc of low CQS so reddit filters ban those accs instantly after commenting any posts

New Reddit accounts are often reviewed more strictly by automated systems. Even if you follow the rules, factors like account age, rapid activity, or spam filters can sometimes trigger a restriction by mistake. If you believe the ban was incorrect, submitting an appeal is usually the best option.

Sometimes reddit bans new accounts because their activity looks spammy to automated systems, even if no rules were intentionally broken. Posting too much, commenting and upvotes too fast, or using repetitive content can trigger it.

No doubt, reddit is becoming more strict for new accounts. Sometimes accounts get flagged because of posting patterns, IP or device history, using certain links, or other signals that are not always obvious to the user. If the account was new, I would try using it normally for a while first, joining communities, commenting naturally, and building some activity before posting anything promotional.

Okay, I understand and remember your advice and take my time to post anything promotional.

New accounts get banned for reasons Reddit doesn't make obvious:

1. Account age + karma too low — spam filters hit new accounts hard. Even legitimate activity triggers bans if the account is under 30 days old with low karma.
2. IP history — if your IP was previously linked to a banned account, Reddit flags new registrations automatically.
3. Subreddit restrictions — many subs silently remove posts or auto-ban accounts below minimum karma/age thresholds.

Best fix: warm up 2-3 weeks by commenting in general subs before doing anything in niche communities. Build karma organically first, then start engaging in targeted subreddits.

This is exactly the most of the times I agree

Sometimes it's not about breaking rules, the account just doesn't look trusted enough yet. For Reddit, warm the account slowly first. Use one clean proxy and keep the same browser environment. An antidetect browser with a clean proxy can help keep that setup stable, but the account behavior still matters the most.

New accounts sometimes get banned by Reddit's spam filters, even if you didn't break any rules. If you're sure you followed the rules, try submitting an appeal since it could be a false positive.

Reddit can be very strict with new accounts. Their system also checks account behavior patterns. If a new account starts posting, commenting, or promoting too aggressively, it may be flagged automatically. If your account was very new, using the platform slowly and building karma naturally before posting a lot can help reduce the risk.

A Reddit account can be banned for violating Reddit's rules, such as spam, harassment, vote manipulation, posting prohibited content, or using multiple accounts to abuse the platform.

New accounts are very likely to get suspended. If a newly created account posts or comments too frequently, getting banned is quite common and generally considered normal.

Okay I will try submitting an appeal. Your guidance is very helpful for me.

Using multiple accounts in suspicious ways or vote manipulation can cause problems. reddit watches unusual activity patterns.
