There are many concepts used to classify proxies, and one of them is elite proxy. Does simply routing your traffic through an elite proxy mean your accounts are automatically safe and ban-proof? Let's find out the answer with IPFighter in the content below.
As shown in the example above, even if a proxy isn't flagged as a proxy by the website, if it is shared among multiple people and used to spam various platforms, your accounts will inevitably take a hit. Furthermore, account bans are triggered by many other crucial factors:
1. What exactly is an elite proxy?
Basically, proxies are divided into 3 anonymity levels based on what they leak to the target website:- Transparent proxy: The target website knows you are using a proxy and easily detects your real IP address. (Completely useless)
- Anonymous proxy: The target website knows you are using a proxy, but it CANNOT see your real IP address. (Decent, but not enough)
- Elite proxy (also known as high anonymity proxy): The highest level. It hides everything. The target website does not know you are using a proxy and does not know your real IP address either. To the website, you appear just like a regular user browsing from a clean, organic IP.
2. Is an elite proxy the same as a private proxy or a dedicated proxy?
These 3 concepts are very often confused. We need to clearly distinguish them as follows:- Elite proxy (Anonymity aspect): As mentioned above, this measures how well the proxy hides your information from the target website.
- Private proxy (Ownership aspect): This means the proxy is secured with a password or IP whitelist, so only authorized users can access it, the opposite of public proxies (free, scraped lists open to everyone).
- Dedicated proxy (Sharing aspect): This means the IP is assigned exclusively to you at a given time, the opposite of a shared proxy (one IP sold to multiple users simultaneously).
Example: You buy a shared proxy (dirt cheap, shared with 10 other guys). Its technical configuration can still be an elite proxy (websites don't detect proxy usage). But what happens? A few guys in your sharing pool behave badly on the same site, getting that IP blacklisted. Since you share that exact IP, your accounts get nuked too. In this case, the elite status does absolutely nothing for you.
3. Does auto-using an elite proxy mean your accounts will NEVER get banned?
No, absolutely not.As shown in the example above, even if a proxy isn't flagged as a proxy by the website, if it is shared among multiple people and used to spam various platforms, your accounts will inevitably take a hit. Furthermore, account bans are triggered by many other crucial factors:
- IP type: Datacenter IPs get flagged way faster than residential or mobile IPs, regardless of being elite.
- Browser fingerprinting: Anti-bot systems check your WebGL, Canvas, User-Agent, AudioContext, fonts, OS, etc.
- Account behavior: Bot-like actions, sudden link spamming, or aggressive mass-following on fresh accounts will trigger an instant ban.
- IP history: If the vendor sells burned, recycled IPs, they are already trashed before you even log in.
