[GUIDE] A degenerate guide to buying memecoins | CASE STUDY AND LIVE WALKTHROUGH

Memecoins are here to stay for years or what?

Yes its a top down structure so its not going to die. Launch pads, terminals and dex take in transaction fees that keep the machine churning. Building social presence around their platforms to create hype.

There is no shortage of shills and social media influencers online that promote hopes and dreams. Just look at majority of the youtube kids, none of them know anything except for pumping and aping and talking with a lisp. Realistically they are gambeling but they make their money from selling dreams with over padded videos styled towards keeping retention stretching 2 sentences into 2 paragraphs and most of it is hot air.

They are not good traders they are teams of kids rugging their underlings and creating false hype so they can catch beginners as followers so they can exit liquidity their pool of copy traders. They combine their "Memecoin" trading with their online presence to make money its all about image and looking like a popular trader.

All they have to do is create perceived value which is what memecoins are, Everyone knows they are not worth anything, but they hold an arbitrary "Perceived" value.

Regardless Memecoins make lots of money but considering how rigged the system is you won't be making it by doing legitimate trading unless you are really good at spotting legitimate tokens, which plot twist there isn't any.

With all the bots, sniper, bundles and rugs there is no point playing its a house game. You need money to be another house.

At this point you might as well play slot machines or just smoke your money like cigars. Memecoins won't die they are highly profitable but not for me or you or joe over there.

I will admit i am still very green to memecoins but i have been studying it, it is actually an interesting ecosystem but a highly shady one.

Tokens will majority of the time rug not always by the dev but from many factors. Many tokens will have at least 20% holders whether its snipers, insiders, bots bundles or Dev wallets. They control when the token either rugs or the MC goes down enough to create enough volatility/dip. When this happens the Token will either nuke or the MC/liquidity is being gamed so they can pump in more organic trades from players that are trying to play naturally.

There is no point there is so many ways that the tokens can be gamed. Even if the token passes all the major checks it can still be gamed towards house advantage and you never truly know if the tokens are being meta gamed even if they check out statistically. If a Dev is legitimately wanting their token to bond and migrate then they actually have to battle the whales and snipers from nuking their token and running off from the profits.

on both sides its a bad play, the actual traders in the middle of it all trying to make it off of hopes and dreams have no chance. The whole game is hopes and dreams unless you are one of the ones selling the dreams to dreamers.

Memecoins will never die because its a self regulating system. If X(Solana) holds real value which it does then Y(Memecoins) can be artificially pumped which is what happens every day. it means that no matter what memecoins as a concept will never die because the value of Y is based on X which hold real value.

Popularity as a whole could die with real organic people but the people in it now making good money off it can continue to do so whether that happens or not. Pump fun for example will always be able to make money because they can just pump their own tokens. No real players actually have to play except for them. This is the worst case example but its true.

All the top traders and groups can also contiune to just make their own tokens and trade amongst themselves and still make money. The broader public may drop interest or hype dies or what ever but i doubt that memecoins would ever die.

Self regulating system with perceived value.

Sorry i should rephrase that last post but cannot edit it its late here also lol,

there needs to be enough organic liquidity coming into any memecoin to make money, as you can only take out what goes in. You cannot just pump a token in a circle and make money. What i was trying to say is that there is enough people in memecoins that the sustained population would continue to be profitable as long as they keep playing.

Asisde from that if there is enough organic trades then it continues to make money. Regardless i don't think memecoin would ever die at least not anytime soon. People are more skeptical now but there is still people playing.

on chain transactions are going to be within millions a day currently.

Is this still Viable today?
yes but it's a bit more difficult. I think base chain is where it's at which is similar to my original guide of Ethereum.

I think memecoin trading will ALWAYS be viable, much like "SEO". However, you must be able to adapt.

do u still try use this strategy these days?

have u personally tested this strat on base? & what makes u say base chain is where its at, anything in particular?

just curious, thanks for all the info bro!

I’ve tried it on base it works - the strategy isn’t a “strategy” per se it’s more just a guide on how to actually find and buy the coins.

It’s a bit outdated - you shouldn’t really look for coins on Dexscreener anymore. There are other dexes (Decentralised Exchanges) that do what DS does but better. However the premise is the same, find a safe coin buy and sell.

Doppler on base, Axiom on Solana etc. These are all platforms where you find coins and can buy them without leaving the site.

I say base because that’s where volume has shifted with a focus on the narrative of AI and agents. Base has positioned itself to be the crypto coin to back these.

Is it all vaporware? Probably. However there’s money to be made and we know this because money is on base at the moment and not on Solana.

Solana is essentially solved. Too many tools and the edge traders have is closing very fast.

This is the same for memecoins in general they feel solved - which makes it hard for new players to have a chance. It’s not impossible and it never will be, it’s just harder now and the initial learning curve is steeper.

Well juat my 2 cents if u are going to do it manually bots will sandwitch you right and left many operators of shit aka meme coins runs own bots for mempool watching if you put too much slippage on manually buying they can front and backrun your transactions to yield MEV out of it more over if you provide liquidity to the pair same thing can happen on liquidity sandwith basis more over if you think marketcap and pool is big enough to buy with big chunk of money for example 20$k buy for meme coin they can front run your transaction and increase sales tax to 100% so u can buy cant sale that there are several ways operator of memcoins and those newly lunch tokens operator make money on retail users transactions these dex wont tell you proxy functions and some hidden functions or arbitrary calls the owner can make manually doing that is very risky TBH and thats why simulation off chain by forking using foundry or tenderly is must for a transaction for buy and sale both to see actual implementation of buy sale tax or anything malicious operator is hiding many wallets also by default pur slippage to high ratio god knows why
