still making money from blogging?

Blogging still work .there many theards same question check them

Hello, many claim that blog can generate passive income but I did'nt think it is easy. what you guys think?
I agree, blogging can make passive income, but it is not easy or fast.
Most people only see the successful blogs after they are already earning. They don’t see the months or years of writing, keyword research, updating old posts, building links, and testing monetization.
So yes, it is possible, but I wouldn’t call it easy passive income. I’d treat it like a long-term online business, not a quick money method.

Yes, it can be done, but it's not as easy as it used to be because Google AI appearing in search results has almost ruined everything.

I think blogs are only really good for showcasing your development of projects. As informational portals, they probably won't last much longer. Look at the alternatives barrier to entry : Chatgpt, its free, and even paid gives you super amount of usage, so why would you go to joe bloggs (used to have the jeans! lol) web site now? Are they an authority compared to ai? probably not. They MIGHT be though, but their expertise will be assimilated like the Borg into "the machine" and you'll at best maybe get a credit link. Not a bad thing though. Of course it depends what your site is about and how you position yourself.

You can pivot into different mediums and compliment a website or blog with other things such as games, and ebooks. People still read text. You just have to be aware, many people that used to be potential visitors, are now going straight to ai.

In terms of a website earning, you're only goal should be "How can I build a site that gets traffic?" Most of the time, its only experts in their subject that get such traffic. As noobs are trying topics they aren't experts in.

They read 5 articles, and now they think thats enough to start a blog with their own ai articles and make money, lol. Don't let that be you! What do you have experience with in terms of years with in life so far?

If there is experience about the market it is still making money only is the answer, but making money with blogging require creating copyscape pass content upto 1k content created for Google approval for adsense promotion.

The most valuable asset is time.
If you spend time on making the blog and writing content. Even if you are able to make something, in the long run you will see a long time wasted although I feel getting traffic on blog and it requires maintenance to keep the traffic going. I dont think it is passive. If you invest time in anything it is not passive. Passive income is something which you dont have to look on it and it is making money

@Nawaz500 are you nervous about the upcoming changes to Google's search algorithm? If you've been blogging the last 7 years I bet you've seen upheaval before. Trying to gauge how extreme the current changes are.

blog can generate passive income…but in the beginning it’s not happen. You have to stick on it for a long time after that you can generate smart amount of passive income

Blogging can generate passive income, but it is not as easy as it is often made to sound.

It requires consistent content creation, strong SEO, and time to build traffic before any meaningful income becomes stable. In most cases, it becomes “passive” only after significant upfront effort and long-term consistency.

I'm currently writing a blog about AI, but it seems like people are reacting quite negatively to it. Still, I'm pushing through — who knows, maybe in the future I'll build an AI community, and perhaps even make money from it.

are those claimants like many years ago? its harder now, you have to rely on strong SEO, consistent content, and traffic diversification

It can generate passive income, but it's rarely passive in the beginning. Most blogs take months or years of consistent posting, SEO, and link building before they see any real traffic

I tend to say the answer is still YES.

But let’s be real: with AI completely changing the game, the rules are totally different now.

It’s a long game. For the first 6 months, basically no income comes in. In the next half of the year, you might see some pocket change from affiliates or basic ads. 90% of people quit in that first year because they get discouraged. If you push through into months 12 to 24, that’s when consistent, meaningful income actually starts to show up.

But here is the catch: that timeline only works if your blog actually matters to real people in this AI era. With generic textbook summaries whichAI can do in two seconds, you'll fail. You have to bring genuine information gain, real personality, and your own POV. That’s the only way to survive and win right now.

I think that's pretty much a given. If a blog has been around for a while, operates in a niche with strong reader interest, and publishes genuinely helpful content that ranks well on Google, it can absolutely generate passive income through ads, affiliate programs, and other
