Digital marketing is crowded, but businesses still need results.

The agencies/freelancers winning now seem to focus on services tied directly to growth.

High-demand services:

  • short-form video creation
  • Meta/TikTok ads
  • SEO + AI search optimization
  • email marketing
  • landing page optimization
  • lead generation
  • LinkedIn outreach
  • content strategy
  • UGC ads
  • analytics/CRO

Weak services:

  • generic posting
  • fake followers
  • basic Canva graphics
  • low-quality AI blogs
  • vanity reports

Businesses don’t want “posting.” They want leads, sales, and growth.

My opinion:
The best digital marketing service in 2026 is anything that connects attention to conversion.
What services are clients actually paying for right now?

100% agree with this list. The days of selling basic Canva graphics and vanity metrics are completely dead. We've seen the exact same shift at my agency over the last year. Clients are completely over the 'we post 3 times a week' packages—if it doesn't move the needle on revenue, they cut the budget immediately.

We've been leaning heavily into combining SEO with AI search optimization and strict CRO. It’s no longer just about getting the traffic; it’s about making sure that attention connects directly to a conversion, just like you said. Great breakdown. Curious, which of those high-demand services has been the most profitable for you to fulfill lately

You're right about meta ads is a very good sector to be in in order to make money especially if you have a ROAS of 3 above, which means you're printing 3 times the money of your customers.

Absolutely agree. Clients are paying for measurable outcomes

One thing I'd add is that "low-quality AI blogs" and "AI content" aren't the same thing. The low-quality mass-produced content is definitely struggling, but businesses are still paying for AI-assisted content when they're combined with strong editing, SEO strategy and provide actual value. The real value isn't the AI itself but it's how efficiently you can turn it into traffic and even more importantly: conversions.
