Most people check things like length, keywords, and extensions first, but I’m curious what experienced domain investors look at that beginners often miss.

What’s one factor that has saved you from a bad domain purchase?

A couple of things you can check.
- DA
- DR & RD
- TF& CF
- referring links
- history
- Google index

Depending on your actual use case. For PBN websites, the length can be slightly extended. For a brand website, the shorter the better.

- branding potential
- selling for big money potential
- clean history (no asian / porn / warez / gambling content on the domain prior to re-acquiring). This is useful only for expired / non-dropped yet domains, though
