Is SEO Still Worth It in 2026 or Are You Using Other Traffic Sources?

I be nervous relying only on Google traffic. With all the updates it seems smarter to build traffic from a few different sources.

I focus now on driving traffic from pinterest and reddit instead of just SEO. these platforms offer much faster traction and rely less on google's constant changes.

Hi everyone, I’ve been blogging for a while and I’m honestly confused about one thing.
With how often Google is changing things now, rankings and traffic don’t feel as reliable as they used to. Sometimes a site is doing fine, then suddenly traffic drops for no clear reason.
That’s why I wanted to ask: what are you personally doing these days to keep blog traffic stable? Are you still putting most of your effort into SEO, or are you building traffic from other places like email, Reddit, Pinterest, YouTube, or even AI tools?
I’m mainly looking for long-term methods that actually work consistently, not just temporary boosts.

I would keep SEO, but stop asking it to carry all the risk. Turn the best search content into an email sequence, short video, or a genuinely useful community post. Hmm, the goal is not to be everywhere; it is to create two or three repeatable paths back to the site so one ranking drop does not erase the audience.

SEO is worth it but I use pinterest as well to boost my traffic. Long term posting consistently, acquiring high quality guest posts, niche edits and internal linking is what works.

Seo is still valuable, but relying on multiple traffic sources is smarter long term strategy
