what tools are best to find trending niches for X?

Trendinalia + BuzzSumo + manual X search is usually enough to spot trending niches fast.
 
You can combine Google Trends for macro-trends and X's native 'Explore' tab to see what is trending right now.
 
For X specifically, I’d probably look at tools like Trends24, Exploding Topics, TweetHunter or even Grok/X trending sections depending on the niche. Not exactly “Ahrefs for X” though Curious if anyone here found something closer to keyword/trend intelligence specifically for Twitter/X?
 
there's no true ahrefs equivalent for x. i'd look at grok trending topics, tweet hunter, fedica, and x radar if u have access. honestly, building private lists of fast-growing accounts in different niches gives better signals than most dashboards. by the time a tool says it's trending, half the edge is gone.
 
I use TweetHunter and Trends24 mostly, they make it easier to spot whats getting attention before it becomes saturated.
 
Look for trending hashtags
use google trends.
Whatever comes in google trends there is high chance it will be there on social networking site too

if i had to do it manually what signals i need to look for to determine which niche and which accounts are growing the fastest?

I usually ask Grok just about anything I need to know works on X, and it has not failed to give the right answers.

lol grok is trained with data from 3rd party websites, not actual X data, which means if you ask it 'what niches are the best for my X page' it will just search the web for articles about the best niches for X page ‍‍‍
 
my 2 cents

i never rely on third party tools and I do it manually directly on X by sorting out all the # and topics. You can check on social media and see if people talk about specific things happening on x
 
I've heard good things about tweet hunter and hypefury for X research.
