So I just had a heart attack. I entered my main ig iphone and boom, "vpn" setting was off. This is the second time it happens by itself.

I guess my ip got leaked and Im cooked.

On shadowrocket I have "enable fallback = off" and "global routing = proxy".
On ios I have "low power mode = off", "background app refresh = on".

I am missing something??? Why would the "vpn" setting turn off alone? How do I make sure it always stays on?
How do you guys bulletproof your proxy from leaking and disconnects? Thanks

iOS will randomly drop VPN when the app crashes, phone sleeps, network switches, or low memory kicks in Shadowrocket can’t 100% prevent that on its own. best you can do is enable “connect on demand” + keep auto-reconnect on, but there’s no truly bulletproof setup on iOS.

iOS can randomly disconnect VPNs after updates, restarts, or network changes. It doesn't always mean your IP leaked for long.
Make sure auto-reconnect is enabled and check the VPN status regularly.

On android there is a VPN Killswitch kind of thing, not sure if iOS has this though
