Can comment all day without any problems, but once a link is added things become more difficult.

True, Reddit doesn’t like direct links.
Better to use indirect methods and warmed accounts to stay safe while still driving traffic.

You can still post links but keep it to a minimum. Try make at least 10 comments and posts for each link you post to your site

A link from an account with weak subreddit history can get filtered even if the same exact URL survives from an older account with real comment chains

Yes. You can comment all day with no issues, but once you add links, Reddit starts checking your account much more closely.

Definitely, I think it's better to let them google your website name anyway
