Have you overcome your ego ? How did you did it ?

Personally , I have a long way to go on that front.

I am still unable to overcome my ego no matter what the occasion is :(

Honestly still working on it lol. What helped me abit was getting humbled by failure couple of times, nothing kills ego faster then a project flopping when you were 100% sure that it will work out. Also started focussing more on learning from others than always trying to be the smartest guy in room

Ego, can someone lead into karama so long as you maintain how much you ego, it will be good?

I don't even think that's possible, everyone has innate ego that can never be broken away / apart from your true self, so I'm not sure that this is possible (unless I'm misreading your question, which - considering that I'm coming straight from BBQ and I'm a bit drunk - it's totally possible :p

I don’t think anyone can completely overcomes their ego. For me, it’s more about noticing when it’s getting in the way and trying to learn from the mistakes instead of always needing to be right.

I believe a bit of understanding what your true self image is will help
But the tougher part is understanding how your self image should be in connection to your existence

What do you mean by ego? the "you" instance mentioned for example, in psychoanalysis which is neutral? or being arrogant?

Change your mindset. No one is right. Its okay to say sorry when you are wrong. Its okay to say sorry even if you are right when you dont want to let your loved ones fees bad.

Take life easy. We are just here for few days/months/years. But when we leave your loved ones should miss you that they lost a gem. be kind and Be nice to everyone.

couples of humbling moments from 100% certainty outcome, negative results resulting from my ego i can't overcome it but i do not let it come my way anymore everyday i try to be humble

When something goes against what i like makes me disturbed.
This is becuase of Ego. Self identity. Self definition

Bending myself has a benefit. It brings peace and removes internal resistance!
This state is a state of happiness!

Its a mater of choice.
either one chooses Resistance or Peace!

State of bliss is achieved when ego is given up!

This is my Experience!!
I suggest. Ego harms peace. Should be surrendered

The moment you stop expecting from others, you become more relax and better person..however, you may face initial troubles but that's just a blink.

Stay satisfied all the time, never expect too much.
Start working instead of complaining.
Your ego is your scattered thoughts and your complaining nature......

By others* I also mean to include yourself as well....

How ever you must confident of yourself but never ever become over confident.

Ego is an unwanted baggage that actually pulls us down in both personal and work front

Ego cost me both peace of mind and a lot of $

Am trying to work on it

But again ego comes out of low self esteem and insecurity

Arrogance on the other hand is the opposite

For me it was the ego

Like any 12 step program. First step is to acknowledge there is a problem. Then start to work on it. What I have been doing is, smiling and not reacting. Sometimes I realise I was in the wrong after a few minutes/hours.

Best way imo is to stop reacting or at least not showing your reaction instantly. Most times we cool down and realise our mistakes

Ego, arrogance, jealousy or hate are just things that pull us down

Smile and try to not to react. Am still a work in progress

I really liked the way you have explained this.
Most of our problems get worsen only when we react unnecessarily.

Reacting to every small matters costs us time, stamina and the best thing our PEACE.
You have to be strong enough to bear and forbear.
