Well, I’m trying to start my journey as a freelancer, and a few people recommended that I begin learning some useful skills. One of the things they mentioned was focus on AI and Claude, so I’ve recently started learning how to use it.

I’d like to know which areas I should focus on the most if I want to start making some money with these kinds of tools. Also, if anyone else here is starting a similar journey, I’d like to hear how things are going for you and what kind of work you’ve been able to find so far.

I'd focus on content writing, research, cold email, simple automation, website copy, or chatbot setup.

Pick one service, build a few samples, then start offering it to small businesses.

Could you tell me a little bit about how it's going with content writing and what kind of audience you are targeting?

Claude is only a tool that supports you in the process of making money; you cannot directly make money from it by itself.

Use Claude to do 80% of the heavy lifting (brainstorming, outlining, and the first draft). Then, check the last 20% yourself (fact-checking, adding formatting, and tweaking the tone). Build 3 or 4 really solid samples in a Google Doc, and start reaching out to small businesses.

Focus on learning about problems that businesses faces, then use claude to create a workflow to solve that problem.
Sell the skill.

Focus on learning one monetizable skill like AI automation, copywriting, or content generation and combine it with outreach/client acquisition — the people making money with AI are usually solving business problems, not just using the tools.

You should still have a core skill from which to leverage your strengths, mastering and building upon it, and applying it to enrich yourself. This can help you complete your work more quickly.

AI tools are good for speeding up work but I think learning one real skill first helps more Try focusing on copywriting content creation customer support or simple automation because clients usually pay for results not just for using Claude alone
