Why do my Reddit posts get ignored even when the content is good?

I am new to Reddit and feel like even helpful posts get very low engagement or disappear quickly is Reddit mainly about timing karma and subreddit selection or am I missing something important about how the platform works organically

Early traction boosts visibility, so you need upvotes and comments and not bullshit ones. Ones that spur a conversation and then get people to argue or debate. Its the lifeblood of the entire site.

I’d audit top posts in that exact sub for title length, emotional angle, question style, and comment depth before blaming the algorithm

Your content is getting flagged and you’re most likely getting shadowbanned. Reddit isn’t as lenient when it comes to (soft) shilling and even the slightest sense of promo’s can get your account flagged if it doesn’t have proper age/warming.
