Google showing impressions but almost no clicks. why?

A lot of times this happens when the keyword intent and ad copy don't match properly. people see the ad but don't feel enough reason tto click

Low CTR usually means the headline is not matching what users actually want. try using stronger keywords in the title and make the ad feel more specific to the search intent.

One of my campaigns getting decent impressions daily but CTR is very low. not sure id headline looks bad or keywords are not matching user intent properly.
I don't understand why this happening? need suggestions.
Low CTR usually means people are seeing the ad but not finding it interesting enough to click. it could be weak headlines, wrong keywords or too much competition showing better ads above yours.

Poor targeting can also cause this issue in google Ads campaigns. ads get shown to the wrong audience, so impressions rise but engagement stays weak.

Check your search terms report. Sometimes irrelevant searches trigger impressions but people don’t click because the ad doesn’t match what they want.

Usually means one of 3 things:

1) your keywords are too broad
2) ad copy doesn’t match intent
3) you’re showing in low positions / junk placements

A lot of people see impressions and think good. But Google will happily farm impressions with garbage traffic if your targeting is loose

What I’d check first:
  • search terms report
  • exact vs broad match
  • device split
  • avg position/top impression %
  • rewrite headlines to sound less generic
Low CTR is often just wrong message for the query

I think wrong audience targeting is another common reason for this issue. google shows the ad but the people seeing it may not actually need your offer.

Sometimes ads show for too many irrelevant searches and people ignore them. This increases impressions but clicks stay low.

Could be weak titles or just mismatched search intent honestly.
Sometimes ranking for broad keywords brings impressions but almost zero real interest.

If impressions are healthy but CTR is low, it usually a relevance issue. either the audience is not the right fit, or the ad text is not resonating. i check search terms, ad rleevance, compare CTR by keyword group.

Low CTR with good impressions means your ad copy isn't matching search intent, rewrite headlines to be more specific and benefit-focused, check if you're targeting broad keywords that are irrelevant, add dynamic keyword insertion, and test ad extensions like sitelinks and callouts to take up more SERP space

Try refining your audience targeting and adding relevant Ad Extensions to make your ad occupy more screen space and attract better clicks.

It might be because your headlines aren't engaging enough. Try increasing the impressions, increase your budget, and check the results again. If you still get no clicks, change your headlines.

Negative Keywords stop junk impressions. Keyword in Headline 1 forces the click.
