How do I grow a faceless YouTube channel as a clipper

How do I grow my YouTube channel as a clipper because I just started posting recently and it as been hard getting back to back low views and minimal engagement. I am currently sitting on 16 subscribers and only one video with above 1k views out of 6 videos.
My niche is currently focused on motivational content and podcasts.
What do you think I should do?

16 subs with one video over 1k isn't a bad start — that 1k video is actually your most useful signal, so don't gloss over it. Before posting anything new, go figure out why that one outperformed: was it the topic, the hook in the first 3 seconds, the thumbnail, or the source clip? That's your template.

A few things that move the needle for clippers specifically:

• The first 1–2 seconds are everything. Clip viewers swipe fast. Start on the most emotionally charged line, not the setup. Cut the intro entirely.
• Pick podcasts/speakers that are already trending, not your personal favorites. You're riding existing search and recommendation demand. Clip the guest everyone's already talking about that week.
• Be consistent on one format before you diversify. Six videos is too small a sample to judge anything. Post the same style daily for ~30 days, then read the analytics — retention graph (where people drop off) matters way more than view count.
• Lean into Shorts to feed the long-form, if you're not already. Shorts are the cheapest way to get discovered from zero, and they funnel subs toward your main uploads.

Motivational + podcast clips is a crowded space, so your edge is going to be speed (clipping fresh episodes fast) or a distinct editing style people recognize. Pick one and commit.

Make sure the length of the shorts does not exceed 45 secs for a better outcome

With only 6 videos, it's really too early to judge. For short videos, the first 1-2 seconds are the most important. In my opinion, just post regularly, test different formats and focus on retention rather than initial views.
