Comment karma or post karma? Which one builds more trust on reddit?

Am curious, I know comment karma isn't easier to gain than post karma, but I wanted to know which out of these makes you more trusted by reddit? Which is less prone to shadowbans and account suspension?

I prioritize comment karma more but you should search for small subreddits where people can actually upvote and increase your karma and only then post karma
 
In my experience, karma from comments makes an account look more natural and trustworthy at first. Reddit usually prioritizes accounts with genuine, consistent interaction over those that only post to gain karma.

The answer you're looking for is consistent comments.

A 3 month old account with little to no Karma but with multiple natural comments every day is FAR more valuable than a 6y old account with 10k karma but sporadic/negligible comment history.

This is what I normally do, does it mean accounts with CK cost more?
 
Post karma is useful for surface credibility, but Reddit seems to care more about comment survival rate, subreddit-specific karma, and whether other users actually respond
 
In my experience, Reddit cares more about how the account behave overall than whether the karma comes from posts or comments. Personally, I prefer building comment karma first because it looks more natural and shows regular participation in discussions. In the long run, a healthy mix of account age, activity, and both types of karma tends to be the safest approach.

According to my experience comment karma will build more trust because it reflect more interaction with the communities, Reddit looks not only the karma numbers alone but also account behavior. Reddit account grow gradually with commenting and posting which are safer from suspension.

Comment karma is the best because it builds both trust and participation, meaning people will engage more with your comment karma.
 
Because comment karma increases the level of trust, this is something that is more beneficial than the mere posting.
 
Post karma because this shows your posts are quality posts and engaging
 
Comment karma definitely builds more trust on Reddit. It shows you actually engage with the community instead of just dumping links. Post karma is easier to farm, but the site values comments way more when it comes to avoiding the shadowban hammer. For busting karma can advice try pigbam... may help you to gain it

I'd go with comment karma since it usually comes from normal interaction over time vs post karma that might rely on virality. Plus, you'd probably be making a lot more comments than posts and the more relevant the comments are, the likelier they are to gain traction. Higher volume, easier to make them with fairly decent quality, it just works out cleaner than posts. Though when a post goes big, it really goes.
 
what i think is comment karma may contribute more to trust because it reflects regular interaction with the community
