Someone buys from you a sponsored post.
Each week 1 - 2 posts after that, people will definitely notice that you are just promoting things for money.
So you may lose followers, and impressions will decline.

Good for SAAS companies. Maybe a video, text, photo, and article.

Don´t promote any affiliate things (inserting affiliate link)
Keep the publication stylish and clearly structured. Where is there a clear link to a service - website?

I don't know what a good price would be for a service like that. If you could get a Guest Post included in the same thing. That the client buys a sponsored social media post from you and at the same time gets a Guest Post for it. That could be a really good deal to buy it from you.

However, you have to remember that you are probably not a public figure, but an ordinary person. So you won't necessarily be able to ask for huge sums. But at least I would do that if I had that many subscribers, that high an impression rate, that many email subscribers.

Then you can think about some other branding tools to use in the same time. You never know what kind of business opportunities will open, if the correct person sees you.

If you can find a trustworthy partner, you can rent it out and earn a pretty good income as well.

I have been reading about this, but unsure about the risk/reward.

With 22k followers, 1.3M monthly impressions, and a 5.5k newsletter, you already have an audience asset. The key is matching monetization to who follows you and why they follow you. Impressions alone do not convert unless the audience has a clear interest.

A few practical options:

1. Sponsored posts + newsletter placements
Brands often pay more for niche audiences than for raw follower counts. If your audience is focused on SEO, business, crypto, tech, marketing, etc., create a small media kit with follower stats, impressions, demographics, and engagement.

2. Affiliate marketing
Recommend tools or services you actually use. Newsletter audiences can convert well because readers already trust your content. Focus on recurring commissions where possible.

3. Sell a service
11k profile views weekly is strong traffic. If you have skills like SEO, consulting, content writing, web design, lead generation, or coaching, optimize your profile and funnel people into a service offer.

4. Create a low-ticket digital product
Templates, guides, swipe files, mini-courses, checklists, prompts, or case studies can work. Even a small conversion rate from your audience can add up.

5. Build an email funnel
Instead of only sending newsletters, create a sequence:
Free value → lead magnet → trust → product/service offer.

6. Paid community or premium content
If people follow you for specialized insights, consider exclusive content, private groups, or deeper reports.

7. Offer newsletter sponsorship bundles
Package posts + newsletter mention + profile promotion together. Advertisers like combined exposure.

One thing to avoid: posting more and more content without a monetization path. Ten posts a day creates attention, but attention should lead somewhere — a product, offer, affiliate link, email sequence, or service.

you will need to link your audience to something that will
engage them so figuring out a niche is a start

A newsletter with 5.5k subscribers is highly monetizable if your audience is targeted.
Even a few sponsored placements per month can create consistent income.

You could totally leverage your audience through sponsored posts, collaborations, or even creating and selling your own digital products like art prints or online courses
Thanks for the ideas.

What would the best way of getting sponsors for the newsletter?

Hello,

Personally, with metrics like these, I’d monetize my audience—not by charging my followers, but by reaching out to potential businesses.

Basically, I’d ask them for money to promote them.

Try reaching out to agencies that specialize in influencer marketing.

However, what agencies or direct clients will ask for are specific metrics.

Even an approximate age of your followers/subscribers, professional field, country, interests, job titles (because being followed by 500 executive secretaries isn’t the same as being followed by 500 CEOs or CTOs), etc.

Are you able to establish these types of profiles?

I have been reaching out, but not getting much traction to be honest.

Well, that’s the thankless part. Personally, I reached out to restaurants for one of my travel sites and got zero response, so I can totally see what you’ve been through.

Actually, the issue—and please don’t take this the wrong way, because it’s not a criticism or a judgment—is that you probably started promoting certain businesses or other things for free and posted them on social media for free.

Basically, you have two options:

1/ monetize that audience on LinkedIn through agencies (ask Claude or ChatGPT about this—it’s legit);

2/ or move your audience to your own “home” and monetize it.

What you’re describing to me reminds me a lot of somewhat specialized tech sites, and that’s worth money if it’s managed well. But that assumes you have the data on your own platform: not on LinkedIn, not on Substack, etc.

Am I being clear, or not at all?

I would like to know your niche first because any advice I can give differentiates depending on the niche.
