You will usually encounter this if it's a smaller casino, that started with only a few million investment. When we started we had to update our TOS so that it's clear that if you win a larger amount (e.g. six figures) we can give you a maximum of $75k per month until the win is paid out. You do that to protect the business from big winners. You have to pay out the winner though, the game provider will not work with you if you don't. There are some shady tricks with unregulated casinos that have their own games, but in general, if you're working with reputable game providers, you need to pay out.
Human review also takes at least two work days, can take up to two weeks depending on the backlog. There's 100+ scammers per day trying to get your money, so if a player wins big, you will need to wait for a human review.
No, they don't let you operate in black markets. You would need to hold at least one reputable license in order to get them approved.

You would need to get certified and regulated for most casinos to consider you - maybe some black casinos would take that service...but it is looked down upon in the industry

Yes, I know quite a few websites that officially license games from providers.
Then, for games with top traffic, they'll use cloned games to optimize costs.

Haven't sifted through the comments yet but heck yea, I am currently in Vietnam and made a friend from Denmark who works for an online casino. I am interested in getting somewhat involved as a side project with maybe something affiliate-related. I know that casino SEO is way different than traditional SEO for non grey/black areas of the internet. Any advice on side projects that would be casino related?

I know that it's an AMA, but that I can't write publicly. I can tell you that the budgets are high, we need around $250 marketing spend per acquired player. I can also tell you that the majority of the players come from affiliate websites.
Nope. You can't work with a legit casino if you're not licensed.
It depends on your skillset, but becoming an Affiliate is always lucrative.

Which payment gateways did you initially use for credit card and PayPal transactions? Because, as far as I know, some platforms require a large cash flow and low cashback rates before you can even contact them and negotiate (not to mention whether it's even successful), not to mention some other "grey" payment gateways that charge quite high fees of 10-15%.
And I'm also curious about your income; I assume you receive a percentage of the revenue from your activities, right?

I'm curious how you built your retention, what tools you use, since you have a small team (you mentioned 5 people), so you must have some automation with AI etc. Which retention channels show the best performance for you (SMS, email etc.)?
I can say that n8n seems to work for building an automated retention department, but it still won't cover VIP players.

Dead thread. If you’re serious about getting into the industry and looking to connect and share experiences then you’re better off looking into the black/grey market vendors and work your way up from there.

I'm still here it's just that BHW left a sour taste in mouth after all the scams. Out of close to 30 people with whom I worked here only 1 was actually good and delivered.
So I distanced myself for a bit, but I'll be back in a few weeks once I regroup.

Most of the old companies couldn't stay competitive in the market. They missed the trends and failed to adapt.

Back then, we didn't have to offer so many bonuses, deposits and withdrawals were much easier for customers, and the regulations in European countries were far less restrictive.
