Hello guys,

Since joining BHW, I have seen many people struggling with backlinks that don’t really move rankings. I wanted to share a simple approach that has worked well for me.

From my experience, backlinks only work when they are:
  • Niche relevant
  • From sites with real traffic
  • Placed naturally inside content
One mistake I often see is people focusing only on high DA, but ignoring relevance. A lower DA site in your niche can sometimes perform better than a random high DA link.

Another important factor is consistency. Instead of building 100 backlinks in one day, it’s better to build them gradually to look natural.

Also, combining different types of backlinks (article submissions, guest posts, profile links) helps create a balanced link profile.

This is a simple strategy, but it has helped improve rankings on multiple projects.

What you shared are the fundamental skills of SEO. If you focus on and execute these basics well, you’ll achieve results more quickly.
 
You're spot on about relevance but drop those profile links because they're just dead weight.
Focus on niche edits and guest posts from sites that already rank for stuff to see real movement.
One high power link beats a hundred junk ones every time.

Makes sense, mixing different link types has worked better for me too instead of relying on just one method
 
I have noticed that too. I also think relevance and traffic matters much more than High DAs these days. Sometimes a few high quality niche relevant guest posts can beat hundreds of poor quality links. Consistence is the main key, slow and natural link building alwys works best in the end.
 
Solid approach-relevance, real traffic and natural placement are what actually move rankings today. I've seen the best results by combining a few strong guest posts or niche edits with consistent link velocity and mostly branded or URL anchors. Also, supporting it with internal linking and topical content depth helps those backlinks perform much better over time.
 
I have also noticed that relevance matters more than just chasing high DA links.A niche-related backlink with real traffic usually gives much better long term- results.
 
I always focused on relevancy, then I checked the organic traffic in tools like Ahrefs or Semrush. Instead of relying on fake metrics such DA/DR which can be manipulated easily Relevancy is the strongest key. Keeping a balanced ratio of do follow / no follow as well as mixture of multiple backlinks can help in the longer run.
 
It's all about the Niche and relevance for your Niche. As much of your brand or business is listed in Niche blogs and many forums, and directories, you can get effective results.

Focus on both AIO and Traditional SEO, and you will see the results
 
Really good point about relevance over DA. I’ve noticed niche-related links with real traffic usually perform much better in the long run.
