Is anyone else getting the "AdBlock Detected" popup even with their ad blocker fully turned off? It's been showing up for me pretty consistently and I have to refresh a bunch of times to actually use the site. Wanted to check if it's just on my end or if other people are running into it too. Just trying to figure out what's going on. Appreciate the work that goes into keeping the site running

yeah it is definitely not just you. a lot of people are getting that lately. when that popup keeps showing up even with your adblocker off it usually means something else is tripping their detection script.

if you are using a browser like brave or edge they have their own built in shields that block trackers automatically, so you gotta turn those off for the site too. it could also be another extension you have installed like privacy badger or ghostery doing it in the background without you realizing.

honestly the fastest way to figure it out is to just open the site in incognito mode. if it works fine there without the popup then it is 100% some stale cache or an extension causing it. just clear your cookies for that site and it usually fixes it. sometimes their anti adblock scripts are just super buggy though, so if none of that works you just gotta keep refreshing until they fix it on their end.

On the forum? Yea, I've gotten it a few times in the past but mostly when I had VPN on or my network/internet was bad.

Are you using a VPN?

A lot of VPNs have their own ad-blocker such as Netshield for ProtonVPN, or Threat Protection for NordVPN, they can trigger these rules.

Do ads load normally for you and you still get the popup?

I personally think it's a bit rich to use an Adblock when you're using an IM forum anyway.

I'm using ublock origin, no problems here or in most websites, rare exceptions

It’s funny that uBlock actually solved the problem. When I had no ad blockers running, the problem was there lol, hope they take a look at the issue

Chrome, uBlock origin lite

Mostly, you won't see annoying popups (after some close)
